Effective May 9, 2026
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Recovery is personal. Dania Haven Sober Living Homes ("Dania Haven," "we," "us") is committed to handling the information you share with us with discretion, dignity, and care. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at daniahaven.com, by phone, by email, or in person, and how we use and protect it.
1
Information We Collect
- Contact information you provide through our website, phone, email, or in person — including your name, phone number, email address, and any details you share about your situation or the person you are seeking placement for.
- Information necessary to evaluate placement, such as your stage of recovery, current living situation, referral source, and any accommodations you may need.
- Limited technical information automatically collected when you visit our site, such as your browser type, device type, and pages viewed. This information is used to operate the website and is not used to identify you personally.
- We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, or other sensitive financial information through this website.
2
How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries and assist with placement at Dania Haven or, where appropriate, with referrals to alternative recovery housing or treatment providers.
- To communicate with current residents, family members, referral sources, and treatment providers in connection with your stay.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website and services.
- To comply with legal obligations, FARR (Florida Association of Recovery Residences) standards, and applicable state and federal law.
3
Confidentiality of Recovery Information
- Dania Haven is a FARR-certified recovery residence. Staff, volunteers, and visiting sponsors are bound by a norm of confidentiality regarding all community participants' disclosures.
- We do not disclose that a person is, was, or applied to be a resident without that person's written authorization, except as expressly permitted by federal or state law (for example, in cases of imminent danger to self or others, suspected abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, or as required by court order).
- Dania Haven is a recovery residence, not a licensed treatment provider, and therefore is not a HIPAA-covered entity. Where we receive protected health information from a treatment provider on your behalf, we handle it in accordance with the terms of the disclosure and applicable law.
4
When We May Share Information
- With your written authorization, we may share information with family members, sponsors, treatment providers, probation or parole officers, employers, or other third parties you designate.
- With service providers who help us operate the website or our business (for example, hosting providers and email services), under obligations of confidentiality.
- When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of residents, staff, or others.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5
